Our customers and consumers in general have been targets of a current fraud trend. They are receiving phone calls claiming to be Main Street Bank, with our company information showing on the caller ID. The caller will state that there was attempted fraud on the customer’s account, and ask to verify information, including PIN number, CVV 3-digit code on the back of a debit card, and transaction information.

These calls are NOT from Main Street Bank. Please remember:

  • We will never call or email our customers to ask for private information (PIN, Social Security Number, etc.)
  • We will not use threatening language or scare tactics to get our customers to share information
  • Caller ID information is not secure and almost anyone can replicate a businesses’ information on a caller ID

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from Main Street Bank asking for personal or private information, tell them you will hang up and call them back at the official company phone number.
