Responsibility
Tyner is responsible for driving transformational initiatives within the Bank. He and his team of experienced IT professionals, developers, and system administrators leverage the latest technology to improve the experiences of our customers and employees, keep the Bank’s systems and data secure from threats, and ensure Main Street Bank is well positioned to thrive in the ever-changing digital banking landscape.
History
Tyner began his banking career in 2011 as a teller while studying business and technology at university. He worked in other roles in retail banking and mortgage lending before moving to commercial lending. From 2013 to 2023, Tyner held several positions in commercial credit and lending at Main Street Bank. Beginning in 2020, he started leading software implementation and systems integration projects. Tyner began overseeing the Bank’s IT organization and formed our Innovation Initiatives department in 2025.
Membership
Tyner has served on the advisory boards of two public media networks in New England and has volunteered in development for a mass transit advocacy in the Greater Boston area.
Fun Fact
Outside of work, Tyner is an avid traveler and has visited all 10 Canadian provinces, all 48 continental United States, all three Scandinavian countries, as well as 12 other countries in Asia and Europe. He also enjoys running, hiking, gardening, and birdwatching and has extensively studied Cold War, British, and Canadian history.
